Hi! I’m Alissa.

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.

I worked with kids from a young age as a camp counselor and babysitter. At the University of Kansas I studied Early Elementary Education and went on to pursue my Masters in Reading Intervention and Masters in Teaching English Language Learners at Regis University.

I have taught in Denver and Aurora Public Schools and private schools: Kindergarten, 2nd, 5th, and 6th, for 15 years.

I am now the owner and operator of Bookworms Tutoring, in South Denver.
